Francisco Bustos - Director of Academic Pathways
Francisco has been involved in international education since 1982 when he arrived in England aged 16, on his own. Having spent most of his formative years between Manchester and London, Francisco read English and German at Ealing College of Higher Education and then trained as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher at Manchester University.
Francisco brings to the College many years of experience working in international organisations and using international education as a platform that create opportunities for future generations.
Francisco lived in Colombia and Chile, working for the British Council. Returning to settle in the UK in 1997, he has worked and collaborated with many prestigious international schools in Oxford, Cambridge, Canterbury, Manchester and London. His role has taken him on frequent visits to the Baltics, Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as all over Russia, Kazakhstan, Angola and Nigeria.
Having helped many students to achieve their academic goals and university objectives, he is uniquely placed to offer students advice tailored to meet their individual requirements. He works with international students to ensure they settle into college life and life in the UK and he provides a strong link between the college and the students’ families and agents.
Francisco believes that CLC’s pioneering and student focussed approach fully meets the needs of today’s internet savvy generation.
