Cambridge Leadership College, the newest Sixth Form College in Cambridge, hosted its first Open Day & Educational Showcase today.
The college offers pre University students a compelling education studying CIE A Levels or the International Foundation Diploma whilst simultaneously creating their own business. Located at No.1 Brooklands Avenue, just six minutes walk from Cambridge Station off Hills Road, the college opened on 4th September 2017.

The college’s first open day showcased its unique approach to education. The event was open to the local community and was designed to show potential new students what they could expect to experience when studying at Cambridge Leadership College.
Managing Director Annabelle Grove was on hand to talk to visitors about the flexible deskspace services offered by her company Deskspace Cambridge.
Deskspace Cambridge MD Annabelle Grove, in her second year studying Business, Economics and French, talked to visitors about her new business created with A2 student Grace Fernando, a co-working space located within Cambridge Leadership College. This is the first new student company to come out of the college.
Quinn Tonelli demonstrated his sewing skills and he talked about his fashion business to visitors.
First year student Quinn Tonelli, studying Maths, Media & Design and Business, demonstrated his technical skills on the sewing machine. Quinn is developing a clothing collection based around repurposing and upcycling old clothes to produce a new range of unique garments.
Students demonstrate the structure of a masterclass.
Masterclass formats were showcased by students Nils Friberg, Keilan Piper, Joyce Zhang and Mark Fernando. They demonstrated how expert teachers guide students through the content of past papers, these classes are all available on YouTube as part of ZClass a collaboration with ZNotes.org.

ZNotes' founder, Zubair Junjunia, talked about the development of ZNotes and its collaborative work with Cambridge Leadership College towards the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Number 4: "Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning."
Spanish in 4 hours
Visitors watched an accelerated language learning experiment to test how fluent participants could become in a new language after only 4 hours, using a system developed by Aran Jones of ‘Say Something In’. This bold experiment was streamed live and is available to view here. This is an unedited stream, just what you would have seen watching this live.
